About Douglas Switzer
Ive been a total gearhead since I was a kid and first got introduced to cars and racing. I elected to make art and illustration my career and set out from college as an independent freelancer doing design and illustration work for a wide variety of clients. Ive been at it for over 40 years now. Back in the mid-1970s, I had the idea of doing a series of art-prints that were very technical-looking and would appeal to both engineering-types and automotive enthusiasts. These early designs were laminated onto plaques and marketed quite successfully.
